Job summary

Encore Creativity for Older Adults in Washington, DC, seeks a Development Coordinator to support fundraising, manage donor and grant activities, and ensure accurate records. You will collaborate with the CEO and program staff to advance the organization’s mission through generous support.

The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in nonprofit development, strong writing and CRM/Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in nonprofit development or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite with experience in Excel spreadsheet management and development.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Grant Management: research, identify, and coordinate grant opportunities; maintain calendar; coordinate submissions and reporting with staff.
  • Corporate Partnerships: support sponsorship program; follow-up with partners; track benefits and coordinate proposals/reports.
  • Donor Relations: maintain donor records; process donations; implement recognition programs; assist with newsletters and impact reports.
  • Major Gift & Planned Giving: support Giving Circle and Legacy Circle activities; help prepare materials; assist with end-of-year campaigns; track donor engagement.
