Job summary

Blue Star Families is seeking a Development Manager to provide administrative support to the Development Department while learning fundraising processes and tasks. The role emphasizes data integrity in donor databases, strong writing ability, and collaboration with staff to support grant writing and stewardship.

Remote work is possible with occasional in-person offsites. The position reports to the Associate Director, Advancement Services and requires travel a few times per year to company

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related sales or fundraising experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing administrative tasks, including record management and scheduling.
• Experience working in a virtual environment.
• Willingness to travel overnight several times per year.

Responsibilities

• Accurately create and update Salesforce records to capture donor interactions and opportunities.
• Use AI tools to take comprehensive meeting notes and manage follow-up actions.
• Manage appointments and schedules using Google Calendar.
• Support grant writing and stewardship reporting.
• Backstop interactions with the Finance Department and cross-functional teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Social Work, English, Communications, Management, or Public Relations
