Job summary

The Obama Foundation is seeking a Development Analyst, West to support the West Coast fundraising team from a remote base. You will provide project management and administrative support, ensuring executives and frontline fundraisers can focus on donor engagement and strategy.

You will draft briefing materials, coordinate events, maintain Salesforce records, and help optimize internal processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive impact across campaigns and donor relations.

Qualifications

• Exceptional project manager – effectively plans and executes short- and long-term projects.
• Communicates proactively and collaborates effectively with others to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication – written and verbal.
• Previous Salesforce or other fundraising database experience is a plus.
• Previous development or general nonprofit operations experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and submit briefing materials for external donor meetings.
• Lead scheduling and support on events for the West Coast region.
• Enter data into Salesforce and create basic reports.
• Draft donor correspondence for ELT surrogates as needed.
• Act as liaison between West fundraising team and Central Development.
• Manage team meetings, draft agendas, and assist with retreats and annual meetings.
• Track next steps on projects or donor tours and ensure completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
