Job summary

Abridge, a healthcare AI company, is seeking a Design Operations Manager to scale and streamline its design organization. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, reporting to the VP of Product Design and based in our San Francisco HQ with relocation assistance.

You’ll partner with design leadership, research, engineering, and product management to ensure the team delivers high-quality, high-impact work at speed and scale, building scalable systems and coordinating workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in design operations within high-growth technology environments.
• Build and scale 0-to-1 operational systems across multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep familiarity with the design and product development lifecycle.
• Experience managing shared design tools, assets, and libraries.
• Vendor and contractor management experience, enabling collaboration and quality.
• High organizational rigor with a bias for action and hands-on execution.
• Strong communication and collaboration with senior leadership and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and land a blank slate product re-design of Abridge.
• Partner with design leadership to implement programs, processes, and tools.
• Lead operational planning and execution for key initiatives.
• Build scalable systems that support growth and cross-team collaboration.
• Oversee asset management, templates, and version-controlled libraries.
• Manage external vendors and contractors with onboarding and scoping.
• Align OKRs, roadmaps, and delivery milestones with Product and Engineering Ops.
• Drive intake, prioritization, and resource planning for design work.
• Clarify ownership and timelines; ensure stakeholders are informed.
• Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement.
