Job summary

Michigan Department of Treasury is seeking a Departmental Analyst to support the Business Services Unit within the Collection Services Bureau. The role focuses on researching and improving BSU programs, analyzing monthly metrics, and coordinating with CSB partners to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The position allows remote work three days per week with a hybrid schedule, and requires a bachelor’s degree plus professional experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any major is required.
• Professional experience as described by Departmental Analyst levels.
• Background in research, analysis, documentation and process improvement preferred.
• Experience with data tracking and reporting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee research, analysis, documentation, and process improvements for BSU programs and initiatives including Third Party Withholding and State Agency Collections.
• Compile, analyze, and reconcile BSU monthly transactions, metrics, and reports with CSB teams and partners.
• Maintain, implement and/or evaluate training and documentation to ensure program quality and adherence to controls.
