Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking a Dental Audit Specialist to perform daily reviews on client data, ensuring CDT/ADA coding aligns with reimbursement guidelines. You will leverage your coding background to recommend changes and escalate complex cases to licensed staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and solid computer skills. You will respond to appeals, monitor acceptance rates, and contribute to process improvements while following Cotiviti policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Dental coding certificate preferred or ability to sit for it.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in dental office (assistant or hygienist).
• Knowledge of dental procedures and treatment practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think logically and detail-oriented with accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily audits on client data for completeness and accuracy of coding.
• Provide recommendations on clinical claims to the client using structured guidelines.
• Respond to provider appeals and client logics of non-clinical issues.
• Assess client/provider educational needs and monitor acceptance rates.
• Contribute to team feedback and participate in Quality Committee as required.
• Complete responsibilities per annual Performance Plan.
• Support overtime and flexibility as needed.
