Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a qualified professional to join the Defined Benefit implementation team. You will participate in implementation projects, configure Morneau Shepell software to meet client requirements, and provide ongoing maintenance and support for pension administration clients.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, at least 5 years in IT or pension systems, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and hands-on experience with ASP.NET, HTML,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business analysis, administration, actuarial mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years IT, system configuration, implementation, or related areas such as pension plan management, workflow management systems or administrative process automation.
• Experience with configuration tools and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Health and Welfare Benefits and/or Payroll experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and adaptability in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Defined Benefit implementation and service enhancement projects.
• Configure Morneau Shepell’s proprietary software to meet client requirements.
• Manage problem resolution by analyzing issues and communicating resolution paths.
• Provide maintenance and ongoing support services to existing clients and benefits admin teams.
• Analyze business requirements and produce configuration designs.
• Collaborate with senior team members, business analysts, developers, and project managers in Agile.
• Prepare project estimates, schedules, and deliverable expectations.
• Review technical documentation and system logs to troubleshoot issues.
• Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and Morneau Shepell capabilities.
• Promote teamwork and uphold company values and service excellence.
• Support special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
