Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a North America Defense Technical Solutions Proposal Leader to guide a team of application engineers supporting defense programs across marine platforms and base electrification. You will drive technical leadership through the full proposal lifecycle, ensuring compliant, mission-focused solutions while engaging customers and prime contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience in relevant domains.
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams across multiple projects.
• Experience with defense, naval, or government-funded programs and customer interaction.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop application engineering or technical teams in defense, naval, or industrial power environments.
• Provide technical leadership across the sales project lifecycle from requirements through proposal submission and design reviews.
• Interact with defense customers, prime contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliant, high-performance solutions.
• Translate customer needs into system-level technical solutions and specifications.
• Support proposals with technical inputs, solution architecture, and risk identification.
• Manage engineering resources and priorities across concurrent programs.
• Present complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
