Job summary

Ex-Mil Recruitment Limited is seeking a Commercial Manager to join a specialist SME supplying equipment to UK MOD and Emergency Services. The role focuses on account management, customer relationships and the sales process, with opportunity to work on bids and procurement.

You'll build trusted relationships, translate requirements into practical equipment solutions, and collaborate with international suppliers. Flexible remote working with occasional UK travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with Defence customers (MOD, Police, Emergency Services) or government customers.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical equipment solutions.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand specialist equipment.
• Experience managing customers, suppliers, projects or commercial relationships.
• Willingness to travel within the UK

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of established MOD, military and Emergency Services accounts
• Build strong relationships with end users, procurement and commercial stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new areas of business
• Support bids, tenders and negotiated procurement processes
• Work closely with international suppliers to develop customer solutions
• Provide product demonstrations and customer briefings where required
• Translate customer requirements into practical equipment solutions
• Develop relationships across the wider Army, Royal Marines, Police and Emergency Services markets
• Attend customer meetings and undertake some UK travel
• Contribute to the wider commercial and sales strategy of the business
