Job summary

Neighbours United is seeking up to three Defend our Home Community Canvassers to engage BC residents on forestry management impacts. This remote, work-from-home role centers on listening, storytelling, and conversations about environmental justice.

The positions are part-time (15 hrs/week) from Sep 8 to Dec 31, 2026, with at least two shifts weekly. Compensation is $27.85 CAD per hour, plus benefits including paid holidays and sick days, training, and technology support.

• Proven interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to environmental justice and its intersections.

Responsibilities

• Have deep canvass conversations while phone canvassing and log data for each shift.
• Participate in regular skills training and coaching to improve conversations.
• Accurately record data and contribute to debriefs to inform efforts.
