Job summary
NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to ensure the availability, integrity and performance of critical data assets on IBM DB2 for z/OS.
You will work with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement robust backup and recovery strategies. The role demands deep DB2 for z/OS expertise, strong problem-solving and leadership skills, and a track record of delivering secure, reliable database services in a complex IT
Qualifications
- 8+ years of database administration experience, including 5+ years with DB2 for z/OS.
- Strong knowledge of IBM z/OS, DB2 utilities, SQL tuning, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and RACF.
- Experience with IBM DB2 Connect is a plus.
- Familiarity with SQL Subqueries, Joins, Unions, and Groups.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support IBM DB2 databases on z/OS platforms.
- Monitor, analyze, and tune database and SQL performance.
- Manage DB2 utilities such as REORG, LOAD, COPY, RECOVER.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support application deployments and database changes.
- Ensure database security and operational integrity.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical leadership.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.
