Orion Innovation in New York seeks a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) to support DB2 v12+ on IBM z/OS, including installation, migration, and tuning for PMS/PPMS/FMS systems.

You will partner with application teams to implement data propagation using IBM InfoSphere Replication, and you'll work with CICS, COBOL, and high-availability strategies. Orion Innovation is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualificações

• Experience with IBM DB2 V12 or higher.
• Experience collaborating with application teams on data propagation using IBM InfoSphere Replication Server.
• Experience with CICS transaction server.
• Ability to author REXX scripts.
• Ability to troubleshoot assembler code.
• Installation, configuration, and tuning of new DB2 databases.
• Ability to troubleshoot DB2 within COBOL programs.
• Ability to perform backup, recovery, and DB maintenance tasks.
• Performance tuning at DB2 system or SQL level.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure installation, configuration, and tuning of DB2 databases are completed efficiently.
• Author and validate procedures for database processes.
• Identify issues and implement modifications for DB2 programs.
• Coordinate with Tech Support to migrate production components.
• Assist with tool upgrades and participate in disaster recovery drills.
• Define and execute DB2 recovery functions and standard tuning procedures.
• Monitor health of backup, recovery, logging, and performance metrics.
• Open and manage IBM tickets to resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to install/migrate releases and support data fixes.
