TISTA seeks a highly skilled Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) - Databricks to shape and execute modern cloud-native data architectures. You will lead large-scale ingestion, ELT, and analytics, aligning with mission and enterprise requirements while ensuring security and scalability.

Remote US-based opportunity requiring 8+ years in data engineering/solutions architecture, with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and ML capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in solutions architecture or data engineering.
• Strong Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake expertise.
• Experience designing secure, cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on SQL, Python, R, or Scala in data contexts.
• Deep understanding of ACID transactions, data versioning, and point-in-time querying
• Practical experience with AI/ML model development, deployment, or integration.
• Experience with data governance and RBAC using Unity Catalog.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures on Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Architect medallion data lakehouse patterns with batch and real-time pipelines.
• Enable ML/AI capabilities using MLflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Define and enforce security standards including RBAC, SCIM, SAML, SSO, and secrets management.
• Ensure compliance deploying in customer-controlled VPCs.
• Integrate BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) across ecosystems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams.
