Capitol Careers LLC is seeking an experienced Data Strategy Consultant to support a Federal Agency through a remote, long-term contract. The role focuses on modernization of data architecture, governance, and business processes within the financial services regulatory space.

The ideal candidate will bring data strategy, enterprise data management, and regulatory experience, with strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience in data strategy, data analysis, business transformation, enterprise technology, or related disciplines.
• Financial services industry experience is mandatory. Direct experience supporting banking, financial institutions, payments, financial regulation, or financial services consulting engagements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing data environments and identify modernization opportunities.
• Define data requirements to support enterprise modernization.
• Collaborate with data engineering to translate requirements into solutions.
• Support data remediation and data quality across platforms.
• Document data flows, interfaces, and governance-related artefacts.
