Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, or related field.
• Extensive consulting experience with financial services & banking clients.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Informatica PowerCenter.
• MDM and Data Governance design expertise.
• Knowledge of data mesh concepts and AI/BI in banking.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, BSA/AML compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Strategy Consultant for a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge data solutions for our financial services and banking clients, with a specific focus on supporting the Compliance and Financial Crimes team within a large bank. The ideal candidate will possess a strong consulting background, deep expertise in modern data technologies, and a proven ability to deliver complex data initiatives in the financial industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop comprehensive data architectures that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements, particularly in the areas of Compliance and Financial Crimes.
• Lead the implementation of data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, leveraging Azure Databricks and Informatica PowerCenter.
• Establish and maintain robust Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Informatica MDM and implement Data Governance (DG) frameworks with Collibra.
• Develop data products and contribute to the evolution of a data mesh architecture.
• Provide expertise in data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Leverage experience with AI, BI, Analytics, and Insights to enhance data-driven decision-making within the banking space.
• Contribute to data strategy development and roadmap planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Significant consulting experience with financial services and banking clients.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica MDM, Collibra
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing MDM solutions and Data Governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data products and data mesh concepts.
• Solid understanding of AI, BI, Analytics, and Insights within the banking industry.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to financial institutions (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, BSA/AML) is a plus
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working with large banks is highly preferred.
