Job summary

Socure is seeking a Data Scientist II to join the Fraud & Risk Data Science team. You will design, develop, and deploy advanced deep learning models (transformers, CNNs, LSTMs) for fraud detection and identity verification.

You will work hands-on with tabular data, text, images, and other modalities, taking ownership of tasks and delivering impactful solutions. You will engage in the full ML lifecycle, collaborate across teams, and stay current with AI innovations while communicating results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with substantial related experience or higher.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying deep learning models (e.g., transformers, CNNs, LSTMs).
• Proficiency in Python and major ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with model deployment and monitoring in production environments.
• Experience in fraud prevention, risk modeling, or identity verification is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced deep learning models (transformers, CNNs, LSTMs) for fraud and risk.
• Work with diverse data modalities: tabular, text, point clouds, and images.
• Participate in full ML lifecycle: data exploration, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment.
• Collaborate across teams and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay current with AI advancements and apply innovative approaches to real-world problems.
