Job summary

MANTECH is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Data and AI Practice. This is a remote role supporting a Federal customer with high-impact analytics, data science pipeline development, and interactive data visualizations for client applications.

The role requires 6+ years of experience in ML, data mining, and data visualization, plus a Master’s in a quantitative field. Preference for candidates in the National Capital Region and willingness to travel for onboarding.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in applied research directed to machine learning, data science, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or a closely related quantitative or mathematical discipline.
• Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated experience with data mining methods, databases, data visualization, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Apply and validate data mining methods and machine learning models.
• Design and implement data-driven solutions with a focus on advanced analytical methods, data models, and visualizations.
• Develop quantitative simulations and models to provide descriptive and predictive analytics solution recommendations.
• Identify trends and problems through complex big data analysis.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging tools and techniques in machine learning and analytics.
• Serve as a key member of a data science project team.
