Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Mid. Data Scientist to support a federal government client in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes data analytics, ML, and predictive modeling to enable informed analytic decisions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with data visualization (Power BI/Tableau), Python/R, and handling large data sets with multi-INT analytics. A TS/SCI with poly is preferred; the position includes a competitive salary and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in analytical roles within the labor category.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience collaborating with IC teams on information sharing and analytic projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analytics, data mining, and statistical analyses; translate results into narrative outputs.
• Retrieve and analyze information from diverse sources; develop AI tools to automate processes.
• Develop ML-based tools such as recommendation engines or predictive models.
• Conduct high-quality prediction systems and data visualizations using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
• Work with distributed data sources using SQL, Python, or R; build scalable data pipelines.
• Engage in design, prototyping, and deployment of complex software and open-source libraries.
