Job summary

Golden State Warriors are seeking a Data Scientist to advance research, predictive modeling, and strategic decision support for Basketball Operations. You will work closely with data engineering to deploy and monitor models and communicate insights to stakeholders.

This is a full-time remote role with a strong emphasis on modeling quality and impact. Requirements include a CS-related degree, 4+ years analytics experience, Python expertise, cloud experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience working with data analytics team.
• Extensive experience with Python and related libraries (Keras, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyMC3).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases; cloud environment experience (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Strong communication skills and ability to balance multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and monitor predictive models.
• Build features for predictive models.
• Partner with data analysts to integrate results into decision making.
• Analyze large data sets to discover trends and patterns.
• Maintain awareness of current data science and basketball analytics advancements.
