Job summary

Golden State Warriors are seeking a Data Scientist to join a growing multidisciplinary team. You will influence research, predictive modeling, and long-term decisions to support Basketball Operations.

You will collaborate with data engineering to deploy and monitor models, and report to the SVP Basketball, Analytics and Innovation. We value initiative and dedication as you work across complex datasets, develop scalable models, and help turn insights into strategic actions for a premier sports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience with data analytics.
• Extensive experience with Python.
• Experience with predictive modeling libraries (e.g., Keras, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyMC3).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Git.
• Experience with scalable ETL/ELT and production models a plus.
• Experience with distributed computing and streaming a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and monitor predictive models.
• Build features for predictive models.
• Partner with data analysts to integrate results into decision making.
• Analyze large data sets to discover trends and patterns.
• Maintain awareness of current state of data science and basketball analytics.
• Other duties as assigned.
