Job summary

The Golden State Warriors are seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing analytics team. You will help advance research, predictive modeling, and long‑term decision making to support Basketball Operations stakeholders, while shaping data‑driven strategies.

You will work with data engineering to deploy and monitor your models in production and communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience with data analytics teams.
• Extensive experience with Python and predictive modeling libraries (Keras, scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyMC3).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases; cloud experience (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Git; ETL/ELT experience a plus; distributed computing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and monitor predictive models.
• Build features for predictive models.
• Partner with data analysts to integrate results into decision making.
• Analyze large data sets to discover trends and patterns.
• Maintain awareness of current state of data science and basketball analytics.
• Other duties as assigned.
