Golden State Warriors is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Business Strategy and Analytics team in San Francisco, onsite. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines, design efficient data models in BigQuery, and drive data governance and quality across the organization.

The role reports to the Senior Director, Business Strategy and Analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Data Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years on a data team.
• Experience with cloud data environments.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Knowledge of data modeling, governance, and quality.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines for ELT/ETL from diverse sources.
• Design data models and schemas for BigQuery storage and retrieval.
• Optimize pipelines, queries, and database structures for performance and cost.
• Implement data quality checks and governance policies.
• Develop monitoring and alerting for pipeline issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document processes.
• Develop generative AI data products and pipelines to drive efficiency.
