Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Data Scientist to support the VA data modernization initiative. This fully remote role is located within the United States and requires strong cloud, data engineering, and ML workflow experience.

You will migrate workloads to the cloud, develop end-to-end data science solutions, and create tutorials to accelerate AI adoption while collaborating with clients and stakeholders. A suitability/public trust clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• 15+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Consult with internal clients and build data products/workflows to support critical operations.
• Migrate and modernize clients’ workload from legacy environment to the cloud to realize quantifiable improvements.
• Spearhead AI adoption with clients to drive business outcomes.
• Create reference use cases with tutorials, reference code, and training to drive cloud tooling adoption.
