Job summary

First American is seeking a Data Reconciliation Analyst to support the Regulatory team with data reconciliation, validation, and reporting. The role focuses on accurate reporting across Mortgage Call Reports, NMLS, and licensing data, using Excel, Power BI, and AI tooling to drive process improvements and data integrity.

The position requires 3–5 years of relevant experience in banking or mortgage servicing, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in data reconciliation, regulatory reporting, or data analysis in banking, mortgage servicing, or financial services.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query).
• Experience with Power BI, AI tools, and data analysis for reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations between multiple internal systems and regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Validate data supporting Mortgage Call Reports (MCR), NMLS, state licensing, investor reporting, and other needs.
• Develop operational, reconciliation, management, and exception reports.
• Analyze data discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with business partners.
• Interpret regulatory reporting requirements and translate them into reconciliation processes.
• Work with business units to define data requirements and validate report results.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits with reconciliation documentation and testing.
