Job summary

First American seeks a Data Reconciliation Analyst for ServiceMac to ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting and robust data integrity across multiple systems. You will perform reconciliations, validate Mortgage Call Reports (MCR), and develop operational and exception reports while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

The role demands 3–5 years in data reconciliation or regulatory reporting, advanced Excel, and proficiency with Power BI and AI-assisted reporting.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of recent experience performing data reconciliation, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or data analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query and advanced formulas.
• Experience with reconciliation reports and analyzing large data sets.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and utilizing generative AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to streamline reporting and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Perform reconciliations between multiple internal systems, databases, regulatory reports and source documents to ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting.
• Validate data supporting Mortgage Call Reports, NMLS reporting, state licensing reports, investor reporting, and other reporting needs.
• Develop operational, reconciliation, management, and exception reports.
• Analyze data discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with business partners.
• Interpret regulatory reporting requirements and translate them into reconciliation processes.
• Work with business units to define data requirements and validate report results.
• Conduct data quality assurance reviews and testing to ensure reports are complete and timely.
• Monitor recurring reconciliation exceptions and suggest process improvements and automation.
• Maintain reconciliation procedures, data dictionaries, and supporting docs.
• Assist in testing regulatory reporting changes and new requirements.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits with reconciliation documentation.
• Use Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and other tools to analyze large datasets and develop management reporting.
• Document reconciliation activities and responses to client questions.
