First American is hiring a Data Reconciliation Analyst in California to perform day-to-day reconciliation, validation, and maintenance of data supporting the Regulatory team. You will coordinate with teams to ensure accuracy of reporting and drive improvements using AI tools and advanced Excel techniques.

The role focuses on MCR, NMLS, and investor reporting, with opportunities to automate and streamline processes. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential for compliance and audits.

Qualificações

• Three to five years of recent experience performing data reconciliation, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or data analysis in a banking, mortgage servicing, or financial services environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query and advanced formulas).
• Experience with reconciliation reports and analyzing large data sets.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and utilizing generative AI tools to streamline reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Perform reconciliations between multiple internal systems, databases, regulatory reports and source documents to ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting.
• Validate data supporting Mortgage Call Reports (MCR), NMLS reporting, state licensing reports, investor reporting and other needs.
• Develop operational, reconciliation, management, and exception reports.
• Analyze data discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with business partners.
• Interpret regulatory reporting requirements and translate them into reconciliation processes.
• Work with business units to define data requirements and validate report results.
• Perform data quality assurance reviews and testing to ensure reports are complete and timely.
• Monitor reconciliation exceptions and propose process improvements and automation.
• Maintain reconciliation procedures, data dictionaries and documentation.
• Assist in testing regulatory reporting changes and new requirements.
• Support audits and client due diligence with reconciliation documentation.
• Use Excel, Power BI and other tools to analyze datasets and develop management reports.
• Coordinate responses to clients regarding reporting questions.
