Expion Health seeks a Data Product Owner to own the backlog, roadmap, and delivery of data products that power pipelines, datasets, dashboards, and reports across teams and clients.

You'll translate business needs into actionable user stories, prioritize the backlog, and collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and stakeholders to deliver trusted, well-governed data products that drive measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years as Product Owner/Manager or Business Analyst working with data products.
• Track record of writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Proficiency in SQL with understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the backlog for data products including pipelines, datasets, models, integrations, analytics and reporting solutions.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and source-to-target mappings.
• Champion data quality, governance, and lineage across the product lifecycle.
• Partner with data engineering to design data models and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Bridge technical and business needs by translating constraints for non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead sprint activities including grooming, planning, and daily standups.
• Validate dashboards, reports, and datasets and coordinate releases with teams.
• Define and track success metrics and maintain lineage documentation for governance.
