Job summary

Expion Health is seeking a Data Engineering Tech Lead to own a data engineering pod, hands‑on for the hardest work, and accountable for the design, quality, and delivery behind claim repricing, savings analytics, and client reporting. You will build scalable ingestion, transformation, and serving layers that power analytics and dashboards.

This is a lead role, not a people‑management role, but mentoring junior engineers, setting technical direction, and partnering with analytics and business

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, including 2+ years as a technical leader
• Expert SQL and Python with distributed data processing experience
• Deep Snowflake, Snowpipe, Snowpark, and AWS experience
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with analytics and business

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve data platform on Snowflake and AWS
• Ingest, transform, and serve data for savings analytics and client reporting
• Lead design reviews, establish engineering standards, and ensure data quality
• Partner with analytics and BI teams on definitions and dashboards
