Job summary

Abacus Insights is scaling its healthcare data platform and seeking an experienced Software Architect to define the technical vision, set standards, and guide architects and engineers across data, applications, cloud, and agent-assisted engineering. This role emphasizes architectural leadership without people management.

You will translate business needs into target-state architectures, ensure security and compliance alignment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive scalable,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software architecture roles.
• Hands-on design experience across cloud, data, and applications from discovery to production.
• Experience shaping architecture across data, applications, and security domains.

Responsibilities

• Define standards for scaling, high availability/disaster recovery, serverless patterns, and multi-tenant SaaS across AWS/Azure.
• Design scalable data solutions and platform architectures spanning payer data, clinical, and provider domains.
• Translate business needs into target-state architectures and roadmaps for the platform.
• Partner with UX/Design on frontend patterns and design-system alignment.
• Establish architecture governance, reviews, and reusable patterns; drive adoption across teams.
