Cloudera, a leader in data platforms, is seeking a Field Specialist - Data Lakehouse (Apache Iceberg) to join our global team. In this pivotal pre-sales role, you’ll empower customers, influence product direction, and drive BI and AI-ready analytics use cases.

Engage with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape data lakehouse implementations at scale. You will design cloud-native lakehouse architectures, support PoCs, and drive adoption across customers, focusing on self-serve

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading data warehousing and BI use cases.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade lakehouses built on Apache Iceberg and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with SQL engines, open table formats, and big data warehousing tech (Iceberg, Trino, Hive, Impala).
• Ability to run PoCs and MVPs for enterprise-grade deployments with high-concurrency queries.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements by designing scalable, cloud-native lakehouse architectures and business outcomes for technical and executive stakeholders.
• Provide deep domain expertise across PoCs, solution sizing, and adoption for self-serve BI and AI-ready analytics.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues in query performance, workload management, and data federation; guide escalations.
