Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Field Specialist - Data Lakehouse (Apache Iceberg) to drive customer engagements, design cloud-native lakehouse architectures, and evangelize the open data lakehouse paradigm.

You will influence product direction, support PoCs, and collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering while traveling to customer sites about monthly. Strong BI/AI focus and experience with Iceberg and SQL engines are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading mission-critical data warehousing and BI use cases.
• Hands-on design and deployment of data lakehouses on Iceberg and cloud-native architectures.
• Expertise with SQL engines, open formats, and big data warehousing tech (Hive, Impala).
• Experience building enterprise-grade PoCs/MVPs and production deployments at scale.
• Ability to architect hybrid/multi-cloud data deployments and optimize costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements by designing scalable lakehouse architectures for BI/AI use cases.
• Support PoCs, solution sizing, and adoption for customers across cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot complex query performance and data federation issues.
• Create educational materials and share best practices for modern data warehousing.
• Influence product roadmap with customer feedback and regional requirements.
• Engage in community activities and cross-functional collaboration to drive success.
