Job summary

Omnicell, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Data Governance to lead the enterprise data governance program within the Legal Department. You will define standards, policies, and controls across the data lifecycle to ensure accurate, trusted data used in analytics and research.

You will build a formal data use program, monitor data quality, and design HIPAA-de-identification processes to protect PHI while enabling compliant analytics. Collaboration with Privacy, Legal, IT, and Security is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data governance, data management, or related discipline.
• Experience developing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Experience establishing data quality standards, metrics, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of governance principles and DAMA-DMBOK.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA/CPRA and governance implications.
• Ability to translate governance requirements into practical processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain governance standards, policies, and procedures across the data lifecycle.
• Translate governance requirements into practical processes and controls for operational teams.
• Establish a formal data use program with quality standards and approval workflows.
• Define, monitor, and report data quality metrics and KPIs with owners and stewards.
• Design and operate a HIPAA de-identification program (Safe Harbor/Expert Determination).
• Define data ownership and stewardship models with clear roles and responsibilities.
• Establish governance artifacts and documentation including glossaries and metadata.
• Conduct data risk assessments and manage remediation plans.
• Partner with Privacy, Legal, IT, Security to align data practices with laws and contracts.
• Provide regular reporting on data quality, policy adoption, and exceptions.
• Foster a culture of data literacy and stewardship across the organization.
