Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support and manage technology platforms enabling the company’s governance program. You will partner with Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Legal, and business teams to enable data cataloging, metadata management, MDM, privacy compliance, data quality, and governance program execution.

The role focuses on administering data catalogs, leading governance initiatives, and delivering scalable data governance practices across

Qualifications

Experience building and managing data governance programs across enterprise
Ability to translate governance concepts into actionable policies and procedures
Strong collaboration with Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Legal, and business teams

Responsibilities

Administer and support the enterprise Data Catalog and governance tooling
Lead metadata collection, asset onboarding, data classification, and business glossary development
Oversee Databricks Unity Catalog administration including access governance
Partner with data owners and engineers to improve data discoverability and governance adoption
Design and lead the Data Stewardship Program aligned to catalog deployment
Serve as liaison for Osano platform enhancements and governance requests
Support MDM platforms, stewardship workflows, and data quality initiatives
Monitor adoption, governance metrics, and usage trends to drive improvements
Contribute to governance projects and strategic initiatives
Develop governance documentation, standards, and procedures
