Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support and manage governance platforms, including data cataloging, metadata management, MDM, and privacy compliance across the organization. You will partner with Security, Engineering, Legal, and business stakeholders to enable governance program execution.

The role focuses on governance automation, data quality improvements, and data lineage documentation, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Governance/Data Management.
• Experience implementing data catalogs with metadata management.
• Experience building Data Stewardship Programs and governance programs.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality metrics.
• Experience with privacy/compliance technologies such as Osano.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise Data Catalog with data governance team.
• Lead data catalog roadmap: metadata collection, onboarding, glossary, data lineage.
• Administer Databricks Unity Catalog and manage data asset registration.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and engineering to improve discoverability.
• Design and lead Data Stewardship Program aligned with governance goals.
• Manage Osano platform enhancements and compliance requests.
• Support MDM platforms and data quality initiatives.
• Monitor governance adoption and data usage trends.
• Contribute to governance projects and strategic initiatives.
• Develop governance documentation and operational procedures.
