Job summary

Sud Recruiting is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering to lead and mentor a hands-on team responsible for a Snowflake-based EDW. You will guide data architecture, model design, and governance while delivering scalable ELT pipelines and enabling analytics across the organization.

The role requires 10+ years as a hands-on Data Engineer, plus 2+ years in people management, and deep Snowflake/dbt/SQL experience. A healthcare background is preferred for system alignment and data governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• Healthcare experience is a MUST.
• Snowflake + dbt + SQL experience is a MUST.
• Must have 2+ years of people management experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on Data Engineer experience (ELT/ETL, data pipelines).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage a team of Senior Data Engineers while remaining hands-on.
• Serve as SME for Snowflake EDW and guide data architecture, modeling, and governance.
• Design, implement, and automate ELT pipelines in Snowflake using dbt and orchestration.
• Own data modeling and architecture for the Snowflake EDW with star schema design.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and BI teams to enable ML insights and dashboards.
• Evaluate and integrate new data sources into the EDW to support business needs.
• Stay updated on emerging data technologies and propose innovations.
