Job summary

Trilogy Federal is seeking a remote Data Engineer with working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Power BI to join our growing company and support our federal client.

We require an experienced candidate with hands-on implementation skills to build a functional SSAS environment, model data, and develop complex dashboards. The role emphasizes collaboration with the client’s tech team and adherence to ETL and data warehousing best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience and bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with JAVA and JAVA Script.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL.
• Define and develop new reporting and data queries using SQL, SSAS, and SSIS.
• Experience building both star and snowflake schemas.
• Working knowledge of tabular, relational, and multidimensional data models.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience building complex dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• Expert-level understanding of ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement a functional SSAS environment.
• Build and redesign reports transitioning to an analysis services environment.
• Collaborate with customer’s technical team to identify initial requirements.
• Apply tabular, relational, and multidimensional data modeling methodologies.
• Transform raw data into meaningful business decisions and pre-aggregate data for optimal results.
• Document logical and physical data models.
• Document and update reporting environment data model.
• Develop new reports based on customer requirements.
