Job summary

Heitmeyer Consulting is seeking a remote Data Engineer to support a mortgage lending platform initiative. The role focuses on developing mortgage data products and enhancing the client’s Snowflake data layer through robust ETL/ELT pipelines.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on dbt, Snowflake, SQL, and data mapping experience, able to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ETL, ELT, or data engineering experience.
• 1+ year of hands-on dbt experience developing and maintaining data models and pipelines.
• 1+ year of Python programming experience.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Develop source-to-target mappings from target-state data models.
• Build dbt-based ETL pipelines from mappings and test thoroughly.
• Collaborate with senior data engineers, platform engineers, and analysts to deliver data products.
