Job summary

World Emblem International seeks a Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect to own the enterprise data foundation. You will assess the current data environment, define the target architecture, and personally build core data pipelines, models, tests, and services to deliver trusted data across the business.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in data engineering, including owning production data platforms.
• Strong hands-on skills in SQL, Python, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow.
• Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs, webhooks, and scheduled/event-driven integrations.
• Strong understanding of data modeling for operational systems and analytics.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, lakehouses, or similar environments.
• Experience implementing data quality tests, reconciliation, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines connecting core systems and platforms.
• Develop tested transformations that turn source data into consistent business data.
• Create secure APIs and data services for analytics and AI use.
• Design scalable target architecture to support operational systems, reporting, and internal apps.
• Establish governance, data contracts, and documentation for data assets.
