Job summary

DoiT is hiring a Data Engineer to own the data side of our Integrations Framework, expanding visibility of customer spend across more vendors and data sources. You’ll build and maintain integrations, ensure data quality, and use AI to accelerate development.

You’ll work with cloud-based data tools, collaborate with product and engineers, and help standardize vendor billing data across multiple platforms. This is a remote, full-time role with international teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a data-heavy backend with production ownership.
• Strong SQL—able to write, read, and optimize non-trivial analytical queries.
• Python or another data-focused language with hands-on experience.
• Experience building and operating data pipelines with an orchestrator (Dagster or Airflow preferred).
• Great communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience integrating third-party REST APIs and handling pagination, rate limits, and data irregularities.
• AI-augmented working style and ability to justify when AI adds value.

Responsibilities

• Expanding vendor coverage by building new integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs and keeping existing ones current.
• Working AI-augmented across the full workflow, prototyping approaches, generating and reviewing code, debugging, and writing tests.
• Ensure data correctness and completeness by addressing duplication, gaps, and race conditions in ingestion and reprocessing.
• Design and implement normalization across vendors for consistent units, currencies, time granularity, taxonomies, and cost categories.
• Own the end-to-end orchestration, scheduling, and backfill mechanics for ingestion pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, support, and engineers to identify gaps and propose work without waiting for a spec.
