Job summary

Reserv is an insurtech focused on AI and automation for claims efficiency. This fully remote role requires 6+ years building data pipelines, strong SQL and Python, and experience with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift.

You will own data models, pipelines, tests, and provide trusted datasets for analytics across the business. You’ll collaborate with teams to improve performance, manage costs, and adhere to security practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing, building, and maintaining production data pipelines and platforms.
• Strong SQL and Python with tested, readable code.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift).
• Understanding of data modeling (dimensional models, incremental processing).
• Experience with transformation/orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow, Dagster).
• Track record of improving data reliability via testing and monitoring.
• Comfort with APIs and various data formats.
• Strong communication skills and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines ingesting data from apps, APIs, databases, and partners.
• Develop data models making claims and operational data accessible for analytics.
• Build automated tests, monitoring, and alerts for data quality and pipeline failures.
• Collaborate with business/technical teams to define requirements and trusted datasets.
• Improve pipeline and query performance while managing infrastructure costs.
• Own production workflows, including backfills and recovery from upstream changes.
• Apply engineering practices: version control, code reviews, automated tests, CI/CD.
• Document data sources, transformations, and dependencies; protect sensitive information.
