Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Data Engineer for a 100% remote role on a large federal government project. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes supporting healthcare analytics, reporting, and VA initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of data engineering experience, proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, and Azure data services, and the ability to work in an Agile environment with Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data engineering solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience developing data solutions using Python, Spark, SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing technologies.
• Experience with GitHub, data integration, and data analytics solutions.
• Experience supporting Federal government programs and consulting engagements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Build and optimize data solutions within Azure cloud environments, including Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory.
• Integrate data from multiple sources through APIs and other system integration methods.
• Develop and support data analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and performance across data platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data‑driven solutions supporting healthcare and VA initiatives.
• Manage and track development activities using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
