VetsEZ is seeking a Software Product Engineer for a 100% remote role on a large federal government project. You will lead design and development of scalable cloud-based AI-enabled healthcare solutions and collaborate with leadership to translate complex concepts into secure, reliable services.

The candidate must reside within the continental US and have 5+ years in software engineering, with expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, React, and production-grade APIs. Remote work is supported nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with AI-enabled systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and Node.js /TypeScript and production-grade services.

Responsibilities

• Design and build event-driven, data-intensive backend services in Node.js / TypeScript.
• Decompose complex workflows into a microservices architecture with REST and SQS/event-driven messaging.
• Drive a test-driven development practice across the team with comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop AI pipelines processing structured and unstructured data for intelligent decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into deployable solutions.
• Support cloud-native architectures and distributed AI-driven applications.
