Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Data Engineer to support mission-critical government programs by designing, building, and operating scalable data architectures in AWS GovCloud.

You will collaborate with data scientists, architects, and engineers to transform data into insights and ensure secure, reliable data delivery. The role requires a Secret clearance, 10+ years in data engineering, and experience with ETL, SQL, and cloud data services.

Qualifications

• Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes and Pentaho.
• Developing and administrating PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills; cloud data services experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain data architectures and databases in AWS GovCloud.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and API integrations; ensure security and repeatability.
• Implement data governance, ETL/ELT monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and stakeholders on data requirements.
• Transform and migrate data from on-premises to cloud-based solutions.
