Job summary

BDR Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain enterprise-scale data architectures and pipelines for a DoD customer. You will lead development of ETL/ELT processes and collaborate with system architects, data scientists, and government stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable data solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL, Hadoop/Spark/Kafka, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/DS/IS or related field.
• 8–10 years of DoD/federal data engineering experience.
• Experience designing enterprise data architectures and pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka.
• Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Security compliant data management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise-scale data architectures and pipelines.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
• Optimize data models, databases, and workflows for performance and security.
• Lead code reviews and enforce security standards.
