Job summary

PerfectServe is hiring a remote Data Engineer to help build and maintain production data pipelines and scalable data models. You will own parts of the data platform alongside a staff data engineer and a platform engineer, ensuring data quality and robust deployment.

The role requires strong SQL and programming in Python, Rust or Go, plus experience with a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery. This full-time, US-remote position offers a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from production source systems.
• Write transformation models that turn raw data into datasets people can trust.
• Apply dimensional and medallion modelling patterns as the warehouse takes shape.
• Deploy pipelines to production, and test them properly — idempotency, data quality checks.
• Contribute to data model and schema design, and to design reviews.
• Document what you build, including runbooks for the pipelines you own.
