Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a data-focused engineer to help build and maintain data pipelines across a product portfolio in a US-remote setup. You will collaborate with a staff data engineer and a platform engineer, taking ownership from day one and learning along the way.

You will design new pipelines, extend existing ones, and ensure data quality through tests and validation as the data warehouse evolves.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building data pipelines with ownership.
• Strong SQL skills and programming knowledge (Python or Go).
• Hands-on dbt or equivalent transformation framework.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift).
• ELT and orchestration using Fivetran or Airflow.
• AWS basics for data movement and storage.
• Bias for data quality and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from production source systems.
• Write transformation models turning raw data into usable datasets.
• Apply dimensional and medallion modeling as the warehouse forms.
• Deploy pipelines to production with tests and data quality checks.
• Contribute to data model and schema design and participate in reviews.
• Document pipelines and create runbooks for the team.
