Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms in a cloud-based environment. Based in Austin, TX, you will collaborate with both technical and business teams to implement robust data pipelines and governance practices.

The role requires advanced SQL and Python skills, experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services, and a track record of delivery in data warehousing and analytics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data warehousing, including cloud delivery.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and collaborating across technical and business teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enterprise-scale data platforms and collaborate with technical and business teams.
• Develop robust data pipelines and governance practices in a cloud environment.
• Implement data governance, quality, lineage, and metadata management.
• Support production systems with monitoring, logging, and CI/CD processes.

Job description

Compensation: $59-61 / HR

Requirements:

• Microsoft Fabric: Data Factory, Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, and semantic models.
• Azure: Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Key Vault, Functions, and messaging services.
• Advanced SQL/T-SQL, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and APIs.
• Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, and production support.
• Data governance, quality, lineage, metadata management, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data warehousing, including cloud delivery.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) or equivalent Azure certification.
• Experience with insurance or financial services data, legacy ETL modernization.
