Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a senior data engineer to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and PySpark. You will build resilient ETL/ELT pipelines, enforce governance, and collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Requirements include a BS in CS/IS/Engineering and 8+ years in data engineering or data warehousing with cloud delivery; strong SQL, Python, APIs, and CI/CD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or data warehousing with cloud delivery.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and collaborating across technical and business teams.
• Strong expertise in SQL/T-SQL, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional modeling and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using modern cloud data services.

Compensation: $59-61 / HR

Requirements

• Microsoft Fabric: Data Factory, Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, Dataflows Gen2, and semantic models.
• Azure: Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Key Vault, Functions, and messaging services.
• Advanced SQL/T-SQL, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and APIs.
• Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, logging, and production support.
• Data governance, quality, lineage, metadata management, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data warehousing, including cloud delivery.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700) or equivalent Azure certification.
• Experience with insurance or financial services data, legacy ETL modernization.
