Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Business Analyst Payer Escalations to design, produce, and analyze data-driven reports that support operations and strategic projects. You will work with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other tools to monitor performance and deliver actionable insights.

In this role you will partner with IT and business stakeholders to maintain data integrity, develop dashboards, and optimize reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with large datasets and multiple databases.
• Knowledge of BI tools, SQL, querying and reporting software.
• 3+ years relevant experience in business analysis, data reporting or analytics.

Responsibilities

• Designing and generating reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business operations.
• Analyzing trends, patterns, and KPIs to provide actionable insights.
• Maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in reporting.
• Utilizing SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools to extract and manipulate data.
• Translating complex data into concise, easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders.
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and optimization of business information systems.
• Maintaining data structures, queries, and reporting tools to support business needs.
• Working closely with IT teams to ensure data availability and system functionality.
• Documenting business processes, data sources, and reporting methodologies.
• Identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.
• Providing recommendations for enhancing data collection, storage, and analysis methods.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT to understand reporting needs.
