Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the start-up and commissioning of power delivery equipment for large-scale data centers. You will own planning and execution of commissioning activities for MV/LV switchgear, busway, and related critical power systems, ensuring go-live readiness in a remote-first U.S.

Qualifications

• 7+ years managing complex technical projects.
• 3+ years focused on start-up and commissioning of power or MEP systems.
• Direct experience in data centers, critical facilities, or heavy industrial power distribution.
• Strong understanding of MV/LV electrical power systems, protection, and critical power architecture.
• Experience with commissioning processes, electrical acceptance testing, and IST.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end start-up and commissioning projects for electrical power systems in data centers.
• Develop and own commissioning project plan including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources.
• Serve as single point of contact for commissioning activities with internal teams, customers, and contractors.
• Coordinate commissioning for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, busways, and protection relays.
• Review and approve commissioning scripts, test procedures, and method statements; track deficiencies.
